★★★★★ Great way to spend an afternoon by Kim S.
This tour was a lot of fun. The tour guide Bill is a book of knowledge, even outside of the chocolate and beer domain. He knows everything there is to know about Boston, and not just the boring facts, but fun tidbits. I loved the high end chocolate samples, and the best stop was Charles St. Liquors, where we got to try several free beer samples. Bill knows everything there is to know about beer, just ask! This is a great tour for a group of friends or a fun afternoon with your significant other for a change of pace. You'll learn a lot, but it's casual enough where you can enjoy scenic walks, cool bars and awesome chocolate.

★★★★★ Lots of fun! by Alyssa H.
Really enjoyed this tour! The tour guide Bill was very personable and knowledgeable; gave great suggestions on different beers to try that I wouldn't have otherwise. All !the chocolate and beer we sampled was delicious! Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend it

★★★★★ Great way to spend an afternoon! by Katherine O.
My boyfriend & I took this tour for our anniversary and we had such a great time despite the freezing cold temps. (Bundle up if you're going to do it in January!) Bill is a funny guy who is really passionate about beer. I'm not much of a beer drinker - I came for the chocolate - but I had a great time anyway. Far and away, the highlight of the tour was being introduced to Charles Street Liquors which carries an obscure beer (Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale) that my boyfriend had been seeking for years. They had great beer samples and I found a new favorite. I highly recommend this tour, it was great!

★★★★★ Great tour, highly recommended! by Adam B.
This was by far one of the best tours I've ever been on. Not only were the beers and chocolates amazing, but Bill is one of the coolest tour guides I've ever met. He is both extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. His passion for beer and chocolate truly shows throughout the course of the tour. I've never been to any of the stops on the tour before, and now that I've gone, I will definitely visit them again. This is definitely one of the kinds of tours I would take again and recommend to everyone to try out.

The choc&beer tour was 100% perfect! We had a great afternoon of eating, drinking & laughs. bill was super informative and keep things moving along at a good pace, never felt rushed and never felt like time was dragging . I tried several different beers I never would've and enjoyed the best chocolate! I've been raving about it to everyone I see!

★★★★★ Stuck for a Valentine idea? by Joanne C.
Can't sit through another chick flick? Does every gift begin with K..K..Krikey! I CAN'T AFFORD THAT! How cool is this? A Valentine's Day present that ROCKS for both men and woman. This is a blast and definitely not just for couples. Grab your single friends and celebrate your independence! For less than the price of a dozen roses - this is the gift to give this year. Chocolate, Beer and Boston...Happy Valentine's Day!

★★★★★ Great event for you and your gal friends! by Amy M.
I took this tour with 2 of my close girl friends, and it was so much fun! Bill really knows his stuff! He is very knowledgeable about beer, chocolate, coffee, and the city of Boston. I learned some fun facts about beer and chocolate, and we had plenty of samples of both. The beer stops were relaxed and welcoming, my favorite being the Sevens. Max Brenner's was a great spot to warm up with 3 different kinds of hot chocolate. There is a lot of walking so make sure to wear comfortable shoes! And you may need to schedule in a nap afterwords (daytime drinking and all.) This tour is a great way to spend the afternoon with friends, family, or as a couple.

★★★★★ The Beer and Chocolate Tour hosted by Bill is a wonderful weekend afternoon. by Lauren H.
We were familiar with some of the tour stops, but some were new. In both cases, Bill had new and interesting info about the locales, beers and chocolate. Everyone at the stops was friendly. On one occasion, a member passed on a chocolate sample due to special dietary needs. The lady helping us at the store quickly offered an alternative. The rapport Bill has with staff at the locales is easy to understand - Bill's personality is upbeat while relaxed. By the end of the three hours, we felt like we were on a tour hosted by a friend. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys beer and/or chocolate and is looking for a new, fun way to get out in Boston. I could also see myself taking this tour again in different seasons.

I met Billy when I lived in Vermont for college. He's the kind of person you feel like you're instantly best friends with because he's so hilarious and friendly. Entertaining a group of people is a piece of cake for him. I could totally see him giving a fantastic, amusing tour of Boston!

Bill and I met up through my cousin back in 2007, the first time I'd ever been in the city on my own. He's very knowledgable and passionate about Boston, and I could tell that right off the bat. It'd been awhile since I'd gotten back into the city and we've kept in touch despite that fact, but I moved just outside Boston this past september, and Bill was one of the first people who reached out to me to offer to show me the area and what it had to offer. If I have any questions about places I need to go, or what to see, or where to take friends, family, and dates, Bill is one of the first people I turn to.

Bill is a great person to lead you around Boston and show you the hidden jems around the city that you would never find if you didn't have a local to show you. I've known him for a number of years and he has always been the guy that I could go to if i wanted to find something fun to do.

"That guy is like getting hit with a tsunami of personality." - my roommate, moments after meeting Bill Hall. I don't even remember how I met Bill, nor exactly when I saw him last, nor will again. In that sense, he's a lot like Batman, but with amicable personality of the joker (minus being a sociopath). Bill shows up at the opportune moment, with the opportune piece of know-how, or wisdom on whatever your local cuisine/entertainment query might be. Not sure what to get for dinner? Suddenly, Bill is sitting on a park bench nearby, telling you about how this local brewery a stone's throw away is giving away a free beer. And to top it off, he knows a guy, who will hook up. That's right, even free-er beer. Amazing. Thanks, Bill... Bill? *thunder*

No amount of internet searches or guide books can beat a tour with Bill Boston. Bill is like a good friend; someone whose company you enjoy, who surprises you with interesting historical knowledge and fun activities. I could not believe how much he knew about food and music...amazing! He has a winning combination of knowledge, humor, energy and a true love of his home town, Boston.

I've known Bill for over a decade at this point: the thing that comes the most readily to mind is that he's a storyteller. He knows Boston like the back of his hand, and knows just about everything that there is to know about any given location, and will tell you all about it. He's an engaging speaker and is perpetually excited to share his knowledge with others. You can't find a better person.

I've known Billy since he was my camp counselor in the early 2000s. Billy is fun, smart, enthusiastic, and can tell a story like nobody else. As my camp counselor he was always looking for the next adventure and quite often, we found said adventure. I lived in Boston for 7 years, but even so, I'd take Billy's tour. Especially if it involves beer and food.

Known this guy for years. He eats, sleeps and breaths Boston. He can show you Boston Proper or the more underground side of the city. Whatever you're into he knows his stuff. I'd recommend him because whether you're new in town or you've been here for years, you know it'll be a memorable tour, but do try to keep up. He'll manage to get the whole city in if you let him.

If you wanna see Boston, Bill is the man you wanna see. This guy knows everything there is about the city. The other thing about Bill is that he is very entertaining, always the life of the party. If you want a hip, full of life, and entertaining tour, this is the man to see!

I met Bill when he swung in on his grappling hook cape clad and awesome after hearing the one sentence that can summon him from anywhere. . "I'm thinking good food and great beer but I have no idea where to get it tonight." Bill 'Captain Awesome' Hall is a never ending fountain of information and knowledge about the Boston beer scene from the diviest dives the the coziest brewpubs and everything in between. Bill knows exactly where to go to fit any beer need and probably 100+ fun facts about every building and business in a 5 block radius.

I would definitely be interested in going on more tours. He was so passionate about his job and made sure everyone was having a good time! Thanks Bill.

FUN!!! Went on the tour yesterday with a family member visiting from Texas. Didn't quite know what to expect. We had such a great afternoon with Bill. He is extremely knowledgeable about craft beers and fine chocolates. We enjoyed visiting the pubs and chocolate shops, walking throughout the beautiful city while Bill shared tidbits of Boston history. Highly recommend this tour! Dana Hull, MA

Personal recommendation from Susan B.
For a jigger of beer and 3 pieces of chocolate I thought this was considerably overpriced. Absolutely everything was described as awesome so a little more discrmination would have been appreciated and any tour value to Boston was over-rated. Honestly, if you want to go bar hopping for an afternoon, think about doing it on your own and save the money you would spend on this "tour".

i dont know Bill because he was off the day I did The Chocolate and Beer tour. We had JIMBO and he was so awesome. We arrived a few minutes late and he was very chill. I loved the day. I had friends in from out of town and they had a BLAST!!! We also made all kinds of new friends and at the end of the tour we were taking pictures and exchanging e-mail addresses, promising to meet next year and DO IT AGAIN!! I love JIMBO and would tour anything he was leading! xo...see you next year!!

Bill is a fabulous tour guide... so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. He not only knows about beer and chocolate, but has vast historical knowledge of Boston. After 5 minutes I felt like I was with a friend giving me a private tour. I would absolutely recommend Bill and this tour. I look forward to seeing what other tours Bill will lead.
